Former Wimbledon Finalist Makes Successful Comeback

's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands - Former Wimbledon finalist Milos Raonic made a successful return to the ATP circuit on Monday, defeating Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-4 at the Libema Open for his first victory since July 2021.

Injury Comeback

The Canadian tennis star had been sidelined for more than two years due to Achilles tendon and toe injuries, but showed no signs of rust in his comeback match. Raonic broke Kecmanovic's serve twice in each set and hit 12 aces to secure the victory.

"It's been a long road back, but I'm just happy to be back on the court," Raonic said after the match. "It's been a long two years, but I'm just grateful to be back and playing again."

Raonic will face Mackenzie McDonald in the second round of the Libema Open on Wednesday.
